Tile & historic restoration
Savannah's historic rooflines deserve hands that know them. Clay and slate tile, soldered copper, and restoration work done in keeping with the house, and with the district.
Roofs older than us.
Restoring a historic roof is a different kind of work. You're matching tile that hasn't been made in eighty years, soldering copper the way it was soldered when the house went up, and respecting what the district requires. We do this carefully, slowly, and in writing, because there's no rushing a roof that's meant to outlast another century.
Best for: Historic homes, downtown Savannah districts, slate and tile restorations.
The details that decide the difference.
Clay and slate tile
Sourcing, salvaging, and matching tile to the existing roof. We keep what we can and replace only what's failed.
Soldered copper
Valleys, ridges, and flashing in copper that browns to bronze and ages to verdigris, the way the historic district intends.
Preservation-minded
We work in keeping with the home's period and the district's standards. Careful tear-off, documented details, and a roof that looks like it always belonged.
