St. Simons marina, metal over the marsh

A complete reroof of the St. Simons Island marina. The scope went beyond the roof itself: the building needed extensive structural repairs before a new metal roof system could go on.

The metal panels were run across the long spans at the water's edge, with the ridges and edges detailed to take the wind coming off the water.

The finished roof holds the building against the coast it's built into. From above, it sits clean against the water and the moored boats below.
